The UK Government Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has recently updated the guidance for the Movement Assistance Scheme.
Under the Movement Assistance Scheme, traders moving agrifood goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland do not need to pay for some inspections, certificates or some other costs they incur because of the Northen Ireland Protocol.
The update to the guidance clarifies that traders can now receive financial support for the costs of getting support attestations they may need to get Export Health Certificates (EHCs).
The Movement Assistance Scheme will close at the end of December 2023. For further details, please see the guidance on the UK Government website.
